How to find us

Hathersage and it’s neighbouring villages and places of interest provide an ideal opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. Nearby Castleton is home of the famous Blue John and other well known caverns. Visit the ‘Plague Village’ of Eyam which had it’s own unique story, and Bakewell, the bustling market town, famous for it’s puddings. The area has a wealth of distinctive stately homes; Hardwick, Chatsworth and Haddon being only a short distance from Hathersage.

Hathersage has links with the literary  Bronte family and particularly Charlotte Bronte who, inspired during her stay in Hathersage, used many of  the places she visited to  weave them into the story  of ‘Jane Eyre’.
